Rooftop casual dining (breakfast and lunch) can be enjoyed at CINCO’s rooftopLocal Harvest restaurant, where new friends can be made over the community table. Enjoy cold cervezas or organic-cocktails at the adjacent Barefoot Bar, heaven-made for watching the sunset or counting stars.

Room Types

Hotel CINCO has 12 units, six CINCO Starfish Suites and six CINCO Signature Suites.

CINCO Starfish Suites

One- two- or three- bedroom suites with over 1,400 square feet of luxury accommodations. Each bedroom has a private full bathroom en suite. The master suite has a king size bed overlooking the terrace with an ocean view. The second bedroom features a king split, which can be made up as two twin beds or a king size bed. Each unit can sleep a maximum of four persons and has a separate powder room.

CINCO Signature Suites

One, two or three full bedrooms with over 2,700 square feet of luxury accommodations. All bedrooms have a private full bathroom. There is a king size bed in the master suite overlooking the terrace with a stunning ocean view. The second bedroom features a king split, which can be made up as two twin beds or a king size bed. Each unit can sleep a maximum of four persons and has a separate powder room. One three bedroom suite can accommodate up to six persons.

Dine & Drink

Exquisite cuisine at the renowned Café des Artistes del Mar, located adjacent to the Lobby, on the ground floor of Hotel CINCO, provides sustenance for body and soul. Thierry Blouet, award-winning chef and owner of the Café, has created a casually elegant restaurant that serves an avant-garde, à la carte bistro menu, for lunch and dinner, complemented by its daytime Beach Club, and nighttime cocktail lounge.

Upstairs, there’s rooftop dining at the Local Harvest restaurant, open for breakfast (fresh, local fruit and hot oats brulée) and lunch (daily catch tartar). Make new friends around its communal table.

Evenings, the adjacent Barefoot Bar converts to the place in town for casual cocktails with friends, accompanied by the backdrop of surf movies and the stars above.

And, if you choose to venture out, you are at the heart  of Punta de Mita’s Restaurant Row, with a selection of dining options ranging from Tacos on the Street (a local favorite!) to seaside restaurants serving up everything from pizza to tamales.

Cinco AquaSports Center

The AquaSports Center at CINCO has four sea kayaks and a Hobie cat for guest enjoyment, as well as a broad away of SUP and surf boards available for rent. In addition, we have a Panga  boat with a captain available for your trips to nearby surf breaks, or for whale watching (Dec-May) or exploring the offshore Marietas Islands.

The surf break just in front of CINCO is known as the Anclote break, and is recognized by the community of surfers as one of the best breaks for beginning surfers. We work with the local community of  surf schools and surf shops to help you take classes to meet your skill level and preferences.

The hotel beach, El Anclote is known as a great break for learning to surf, with the adjacent cove ide­al for Paddle-boarding. The hotel’s pangas are available to take guests out to the other five breaks on the peninsula. This setting makes it a rarified location for the celebration of all things surf and SUP.

Other popular breaks in the area include La Lancha, El Faro, Burros, and the Point. CINCO’s surf Concierge can arrange boards and boats to take to you where the waves are best on any given day and time.

For new surfers – or for those wanting some refresher or improvement tips — CINCO offers instruction to surfers of all experience levels and ages, from first time beginners to surfers preparing to compete. We try to keep the ratio of students to instructor at three or less, and may restrict the size of the class based on availability of instructors. The only prerequisites for surf lessons are an ability to swim and a positive attitude. Our instructors are in the water with the students, helping to select and catch waves and providing constant feedback to the students.

We work with a group of instructors who we refer to as The Founding Fathers of Punta de Mita Surfing - Josue, Lalo, Saui, Antonio and Osso. All grew up surfing these local waves, and all now own surf shops in the town. They not only teach, and work with local kids to keep the Mita surfing tradition alive and well, but many compete in Mexico’s national competitions.

The CINCO Athletic Club and Spa offers a fun, fit club experience located in the heart of restaurant row in Punta de Mita. The on-site amenities include access and full use of CINCO’s state of the art cardio training room, ellipticals, stationary bikes, treadmills, and a full complement of weight training machines and weight station.

Adjacent to the training room is a treatment room for spa services.  Expansive separate men’s and woman’s locker and changing rooms offer wet steam, sauna and jacuzzi, for unwinding after your spa treatment or workout.

The ocean view CINCO Athletic Club & Spa uses only Natura Bisse amenities. The massage menu can be duplicated en suite or on the rooftop. 

The team of experienced therapists offer therapeutic massage, rejuvenating, deep tissue therapies, aromatherapy, exfoliation using natural seeds and sea salts, facials, and other services. The services range in price from $125 for a therapeutic 60-minute massage, or $150 for a sea salt exfoliation or body wrap. It’s a great way to recover from the aches and pains from several days of surfing.

Hotel Cinco’s Salty & Sublime SUP Scrub and Rub – 60 minutes – $125 USD

A re-generzing scrub and massage treatment designed to partake in after a SUP session (that’s stand-up paddle boarding for those not in the know). Raw agave (yes, folks, that’s the tequila plant), lime and salt are used to exfoliate and invigorate. Salt exfoliates, while locally grown, organic lime juice helps decrease dead skin cells, and works to turn any bruises back to the norm. Organic, raw agave moisturizes the skin bringing it back to it supple state of being. Long, gentle strokes are used to focus on the muscles used when paddling around the Pacific. Treatment includes a complimentary SUP rental for the day, so it’s a perfect pairing!

The Athletic Club is open daily from 6 am – 9 pm; Spa services are available daily from 10 am – 7 pm
